At last the first Soft Safe Space could be delivered. The registration of the design has taken some time to complete, but now it has, we can start to promote this very special item. Members of staff at the nursing home couldn’t wait to try it out themselves, posing for photos and getting themselves comfortable in there.
We took the opportunity at the nursing home to test out another new idea, which will add safety and comfort to sleeping in hospital style beds. Watch this space is all we can say right now.

Hi John, yes, I was going to ask you about how the development of bed protectors was going, our need is getting a bit more pressing. You may need to be careful on patent for this of course. the team is very happy with the soft safe space, and the user has seen a significant reduction of injuries. However, if this idea is carried to any other services, then they would need ot be aware of potential risks, and consider carefully the issues around manual handling, restraint, 'deprivation of liberty' (new law in 2009) as well as greater wellbeing of the person.
